VishalMishra
Software engineer in Gurugram. I build checkouts, payment services and storefronts, front to back, for products where a failed transaction costs real money.
Software Development Engineer at Infinite Locus since January 2025.
Work
Client products built at Infinite Locus. Client names are under NDA, so each is described by what it is.
-
I owned the Stripe checkout end to end, and the Python service behind it.
- Card and Buy-Now-Pay-Later payments, plan selection, promo and bundle pricing, and a post-checkout upsell with subscriptions, all on signature-verified webhooks with idempotent order submission.
- The payment service is engineered for $30M+ in monthly volume, 100K+ customers and 4,000+ transactions a day.
- Found a per-request memory leak that grew 6 to 10% a day and forced restarts at 95%. Pooling HTTP, Redis and AWS clients flattened it to a steady 41% through peak traffic.
- Shipped 60+ server-rendered, A/B-tested landing pages in English and Spanish, and moved the site from GTmetrix grade D to A.
Nuxt 4, Vue 3, TypeScript, Stripe, Python FastAPI, DynamoDB, Redis, AWS ECS Fargate and SQS
-
I launched a third brand on a shared storefront platform that runs in 11 languages.
- Moved the brand off a legacy CMS and built its full site chrome: desktop flyout navigation, an animated mobile menu, a region and language switcher, and the hero and media banners.
- Made the navigation fully keyboard and screen-reader accessible to WCAG 2.1, with automated accessibility, unit, end-to-end and visual tests to prove it.
- Wrote the adapter from the brand's Contentful model to the platform's page format, so marketing builds pages without an engineer.
Next.js 16 App Router, React, strict TypeScript, Saleor GraphQL, Contentful, Algolia, Adyen, Vitest, Playwright
-
I was the primary frontend contributor on a platform cashiers and fulfilment staff use every day.
- 36 modules and 157 screens, with every screen gated by a role model covering 14 job functions.
- One shared data-grid configuration, so a new module ships as a config file instead of another hand-built table.
- Barcode and IMEI scanning for sales returns, live automation consoles, and the cashier settlement and cheque-recovery screens where money is reconciled.
React 18, Redux Toolkit, Ant Design, Formik and Yup, Socket.io, Jest, AWS S3 and CloudFront
-
One of three core engineers on a Shopify theme serving seven languages.
- A build-your-own-box bundle flow with live pricing that the marketing team controls.
- A faster cart drawer for a peak sale, with free-gift milestones and the awkward buy-one-get-one cases handled.
- An AI shopping assistant with live voice conversation, and a checkout migration from Shiprocket to GoKwik with attribution intact.
Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, Storefront and AJAX Cart APIs, WebRTC, GoKwik, JSON-LD
About
I work across both big frontend ecosystems, React with Next.js and Vue with Nuxt, and I write the FastAPI services, SQS workers and deploy pipelines behind them on AWS. Most of my work sits close to revenue: checkout, subscriptions, pricing and the analytics that measure them.
I care about the parts users never notice when they work: accessible navigation, honest error states, pages that load fast, and tests that catch the regression before a customer does.
